Mission 11 [written]

[Erza had just woke up recently, and after convincing the people working at the clinic that she was well enough, she went back to her apartment.  Sitting on her bed, she vaguely remembers the sorts of things she had dreamed about while she was unconscious.  They weren't good dreams by any stretch of the imagination - mostly whipping and screaming noises - but they got her thinking nonetheless.  Opening her journal, she decides to write what she's thinking for a change.]

This may sound strange, but I have a general question: what are your parents like?

Do Grandparents count?

[Very large and lengthy pause. THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL BACKLOG OF MEMORIES please hold.

...I don't remember mine.

[Flandre...doesn't seem too terribly bothered by this, though.]

... Quiet. They kept to themselves most of the time.

Mama is wonderful. She's a doctor, and I want to be one, too.

My father was a warrior, one of pure heart who vanquished the demon Aku the first time he cursed my homeland. My mother...[There was a short pause, the muffled sound of someone clearing their throat audible.] My mother was a kind and courageous woman. I miss them both dearly.

Well, my mom is a hard-worker, considering she has her hands full with me and my twip little brother and is still trying to get through night classes at school. Dad...my dad...[The voice trailed off, a quiet choking sob sound barely audible on the other side.]

... haven't seen 'em in a long time.

[ Centuries, not years, but he isn't going to say that. ]

Good parents to have, though. Smart, busy, maybe a little distant by most folks' standards. Taught me a lot.
