 [This is something that's been on her mind for a while, but she hadn't wanted to express it.  Still, she figures that she should probably bite the bullet and ask - what harm could it do?]

How do you deal with someone who has amnesia?  ...Not here - at home.  A friend of mine doesn't remember anything about his life, whether it's good or bad.  Whether I meet him here or back home, I don't know whether I should tell him about his life, or let him start fresh.  Having a fresh start would be better for his conscience, but... some of his actions were particularly cruel, and if he doesn't know about them, he'll be targeted for acts that he doesn't know he did.

Yes, he knows that much. I didn't manage to tell him much else, though - the situation that we were in was hardly ideal for conversation.

Alright. [Hmmm.] Did he say whether or not he actually wanted to know about his life?

He had been told a bit about his past before I ran into him - not much, but it made him fear regaining his memories. I think I managed to reassure him, but I haven't asked him that question directly yet.

Mmm... And you said that not knowing about his past would put him in danger, right?

...Yes. Before, when he had his memories, he tried to do some things which angered the people in power. He's a wanted man, though he doesn't know it.

In that case, it may be best if you did. As long as it's the right time, at least. I had amnesia for a while and was afraid of getting back my memories too, but in the end, I'm kind of glad I got to remember them. I can't say it'll be the same for him, but... If it'll keep him safe, then it's probably a good idea.

..That's just my opinion though. Ultimately, it's pretty much up to him.

I'll be sure to keep that in mind. [She considers asking why he was afraid to get them back, but that might lead to some awkward questions directed at her.] ...Did any of your friends help you get your memories back?

[Not really..! He was just afraid of what he may find out, is all.]

Yeah. One of my friends can use hypnosis, so he was able to help me get my memories back that way. He's here in Luceti too, if you ever want to talk to him or anything. [Though he's not the most pleasant person if you're someone who isn't Otonashi but--]

Naoi. Ayato Naoi. You don't happen to know him already, do you?

No - can't say I've heard of him before.

Oh. Well, he has green hair, and he usually wears this hat that looks like those that police officers wear. And he looks kind of grumpy all the time. [Which may or may not be even more so because of Yotsuba..]
