[Mirajane couldn't help the bubble of laughter that came forth at Erza's flusterment, THIS being the kind of reaction she'd originally been looking for when she'd added a date to the roster of favors Erza could do for her. She didn't really try to one up Erza very often anymore, but a part of her still couldn't help but feel intense satisfaction when she could. They were both grown up now, and mature enough to not really be at each others throats like when they were rivals as kids, so Mirajane was fairly certain Erza felt the same sort of respect she felt for her. She might not have been able to rise to the same loft heights as Erza, recognized as the strongest woman in Fairy Tail, but she reached similar heights, becoming a world renowned model, the poster girl for Fairy Tail, and one of the most well liked members of Fairy Tail. She never put Erza on a pedastal because to her, they had always been and always would be on nearly equal footing.]

Well it wouldn't do to simply let the tickets go to waste now would it? I was planning to give them away, but I think I want to see this play a lot more than anyone else in the guild!

[She put her hand on Erza's back reassuringly.]

If there's any sort of dinner rules you're unaware of, I'll be sure to tell you before we eat. Don't worry, I promise not to let you get embarrassed by looking silly, because as my date you'd make me look silly too! All people will see is the two classiest ladies in Fairy Tail enjoying a night at a play together. We might even have guys trying to pick us up while we're out, but you're all mine for the evening, so no boy hunting.

The hug was meant to be more like when Natsu and Gray pretend to be 'best buds' for Erza, than anything romantic, trying to let Erza feel more relaxed since she was fairly certain it was the best tactic for slowly working her friend in the right direction. After all, this was supposed to be more of an outing more for fun than romance. Romance? Well that might happen someday, but that was something she felt Erza needed to be carefully manuevured into, and first she needed to spend time with her to see if it was a prospect worth pursuing. She had a small crush on Erza, she could certainly admit that, but it was mixed with so many other feelings with her that it was silly to worry about it.]
